Vintage Moroccan Boujaad Rug – Horizon

Horizon is a vintage brown Boujaad rug from the 70’s. He is featuring a brown base with three diamond chaine pattern in pink. The bottom and top of the rug are deep blue faded to black with teal diamonds made out of upcyled cotton thread.

Beni M’Guild tribe comes from the western Middle Atlas. The carpets are traditionally made with thick and heavy pile to protect them from the harsh winters. The rugs are characterised by strong colors.

Berber rugs are a unique artwork of a woman.
Each rug tells a unique story, the relationship of the weaver with her work, her family, her roots. It’s infinite variations is the work of her freedom of mind.
The symbols they use in their art is an ancestral language passed down from generation to generation.
