This lovely Beni M’Guild from the 50’s features a unique tribal pattern not common for this tribe.
Her name, Desert, comes of the sandy faded colours that reminded me of a sunrise over the Sahara desert.
She has a medium size with a soft medium pile that would be perfect in a small living room.
Beni M’Guild tribe comes from the western Middle Atlas. The carpets are traditionally made with thick and heavy pile to protect them from the harsh winters. The rugs are characterised by strong colors.
